We created Apropos Motus to foster the art that we wanted to see performed. Establish something bold, something blunt, something straight to the point (See: “a no shit attitude”) - not to push or pursue a singular message, but to create a company and space that has the freedom to form new ideas through movement that have yet to be formulated into words, but still lives in the ideology of structure and form.
We want to work with passionate artists who are purveyors of the arts and love of dance. Artists who encompass multiple genres and art forms, who have unique points of views, who bring distinctiveness to the stage but can also be collaborators in the overall voice of the company.
Apropos Motus will be an engine of opportunity for us to create singular works while sharing our collective voice with joint creations. Challenging our audiences with organic experiences and visions as they view our works, we want to go against the norm and inspire deep discussion.
